9985 Process 1

Sculpey, boxcutters, acetone, found objects Etc.

 I am making a model of 9985, or Sexbot, from one of my comics.  Sparks: A Love Story is a classic boy-meets girl... with a genderless prostitute robot in the role of the boy.  It's a good story though, you'll see.

 I started with a bunch of raw materials, including a vinyl toy given to me some time ago for this express purpose by my friend Eli.  (He's kind of a badass, you can see his work here).  I cut and shaped these for a while and used a little bit of acetone on the existing image on the robot's face.

He doesn't look like much at this point, but this little guy, is gonna be killer.
